Step out in the public eye and suddenly everybody’s a fashion critic and Mrs. Obama’s style and fashion has been scrutinized at every step. Love it, hate it but you can’t ignore it. And now, Michelle Obama’s in Vogue. Literally.

Ever since Lou Hoover, every First Lady has been featured in the bible of fashion – Vogue magazine. Bess Truman is the only one who didn’t feature in it. So what’s the big deal about Michelle O being in the magazine as well? Well…she is the only First Lady to be a Vogue Cover Girl!

That’s right…you will see her on the cover of the March 2009 magazine where she’s wearing a gorgeous silk sheath dress in magenta. The dress is a creation of Jason Wu… yes, the very same who designed her stunning inaugural gown.

Even the biggest stars and hottest models who have featured on Vogue’s cover have had their looks advised or chosen by Vogue; not Michelle Obama though. She made her own choices for the photo shoot which included outfits designed by Wu, Narcisco Rodriguez (who designed her Election Night outfit) and J Crew.

Just a few more days and we can get our hands on the magazine too!
