Hollywood stars aren’t always just all about the money, the attitude and the bling bling. Take a look at Will Smith.

As part of his promo tours for his new movie ‘Seven Pounds’, Will Smith is encouraging charity among his fans. For example, fans in places like Miami, Dallas, Cleveland, St. Louis, Charlotte, Denver, N.C. could win free tickets to the movie but not by buying promo merchandise. Instead, they were asked to donate cans of food to win.

And I don’t think it’s just a publicity stunt because Will has been surprising people everywhere by turning up at hospitals, schools and other places without any photographers or reporters. He even took 300 turkeys with him to a hunger relief organization.

What message is he trying to send out? “If there’s a message, it’s ‘you gotta help somebody.’ Even if it’s somebody’s car breaking down, use your cell phone. Something little like that,” said Will, “We gotta help one another to get the quality of life we’re all striving for.

Will is the first (and so far, the only) Hollywood actor who has had eight movies in a row that have each grossed $100 million! And yet, he remains one of the most humble people in tinsel town.

He said it was important for him to stay real and he realized he had lost touch on November 4th. “I sat there with my children and my 16-year-old son couldn't understand how I didn't know (the election) was over already. He was like 'You're out of touch,’” said Will.

So let’s take a leaf out of the Fresh Prince’s book to stay real and let’s do a little bit of our own giving people.

that's really nice what Will Smith is doing. Good to know he's giving back.
